Workforce Investment ACT (WIA) Program
The Workforce Investment Act provides 12 weeks of work experience for eligible applicants. Applicants must be enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe, 18 years of age or older, and live within the Leech Lake Reservation service area. The WIA program also provides services to youth age 14-21. Youth are placed in the private and non-profit organizations for work experience. The program runs during the summer months for 5 weeks full time temporary.

Youth Build Program
The Youth Build Program serves disadvantaged youth ages 16-24 who have not completed high school or have not received a GED. The emphasis for YB is eduation, leadership development, counseling and support services, construction training and graduate services. The youth learn carpentry skills and attend class to earn their high school diploma or earn their GED.
