Mission

To empower our communities to ultimately eliminate diabetes and to improve the quality of life of those living with diabetes and their families.

We Offer

Qualified providers - MD's, Nurse Practitioners, Podiatrist, Nurse Educators, Registered Dietition, & Fitness Specialist.

We are fully equipped to do lab draws, EKGs, immunizations, and diabetes screening.

If you, a family member, or a friend are in need of any services we provide contact us. We will be honored to assist in any way. We can help you by giving you these tools:

Diabetes Clinics are held through out Leech Lake Reservation on a monthly basis and include:

Type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed!

Type 2 diabetes is a growing problem amongst Native Americans. 16% of Native Americans have type2 diabetes. 30% more have pre-diabetes. Many people have diabetes for 5-10 years before they are diagnosed. Children are being diagnosed with diabetes as young as 10 years old. 85% of these kids are obese.

Are you at risk?

Does someone in your family have diabetes?
Are you overweight?
Are you inactive (no regulare exercise program)?
Do you have high blood pressure?
Do you have high cholesterol or triglycerides?
Did you or your mom have diabetes during pregnancy?
Have you been told you have inculin resistance, IGT, or pre-diabetes?

If you answered yes to any of these question you should be tested for diabetes.
