The mission of the Environmental Health program of the Leech Lake Health Division is to improve environmental conditions and the quality of life for Leech Lake Reservation Band members.

Program Information

The environmental health program offers areas of service which include institutional environmental health, general environmental health and injury prevention. These areas provide service with investigations, surveys, sampling and testing, technical assistance and training. These services include injury prevention activities, healthy home safety training, safe drinking water act, food service sanitation inspections, playground safety inspections, pool and spa inspections, indoor air quailty, underground storage tank technical assistance, environmental surveys & inspections, mold & asbestos inspections, IHS Sleep Safe Program (smoke alarms), IHS Ride Safe Program (child safety seats), occupational safety and health coalition, vector disease control, and rabies & vaccination clinics.
