We are closed the first week of each month for shipments and inventory. We are also closed the last two business days of each month for delivery to the elderly and handicapped.

Last day in August to pick-up is 27th.

Net Monthy Income Standards

Dependent Care Deduction: Households that quailfy for the dependent care are allowed a deduction of actual dependent care costs paid monthly to a non-household member.

Applying for Food Distribution

When you apply for Food Distribution, you must complete the entire application and sign the application on the first and last page. All head of households must have a face to face interview prior to certification.

Documentation you are expected to provide when you apply are as follows:

1. INCOME VERIFICATION: checkstubs for one month, award letters stating source and amount of income, income tax returns for prior year, printout of wages for year, etc.
2. RESOURCE VERIFICATION: bank statements, certificate of savings, bonds, stocks or any readily accessible, negotiable accounts.
3. VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY IN OUR SERVICE AREA: for example, a bill or some type of mail the recent date on it or an official identification such as a driver's license.
4. PROOF THAT YOU LIVE WITHIN THE LEECH LAKE RESERVATION BOUNDARIES: if you are not a member of a Federally recongized Indian Tribe. For this, you must provide a legal land description of where you live and if this is not in your name, a receipt must be provided to verify you live at this location.
5. FOR INDIANS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF A FEDERALLY RECONGINZED INDIAN TRIBE, you are requested to bring a Tribal ID or a statement from your Tribe stating you are an enrolled member of their Tribe.
6. FOOD STAMP TERMINATION NOTICES are requested if you have recently been on the Food Stamp Program or Food Portion of MFIP, GA or any other public assistance program.
7. GAMING EMPLOYEES are asked to bring computer printout's of their wages for the year.
8. IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY BECOME UNEMLOYED as a result of job termination/suspension, this is requested to be verified by an emplyer's statement.
9. SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED for all household members. If a person does not have a social security nubmer, you must discuss this with your worker.
10. LEGALLY OBLIGATED CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS can be deducted from your income with proof that you are court ordered to pay and provide proof of when you paid and amount you paid.

You must reapply and reverify each October.
