Adult

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Adult Program, provides eight (8) week Work Experience to eligible adults. Must be unemployed for at least a week, live within our service area on or near the Leech Lake Reservation. All applicants age 18 and older are required to attend Job Skills & Club Classes.

Provides Ironworker Training assistance travel costs, Job Corps Attendance Clothing Assistance. GED bonus, must have an official copy of GED Certificate, bonus given if certificate is acquired within a year of passing.

  2. Placement in worksite by request of the employer and what is presently available

If accepted you MUST attend Job Skills on Tuesday & Wednesday, 9am-2pm and Job Club on Thursday 9am-12pm.


Summer Youth

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Youth Program, provides five (5) weeks Work Experience to low income eligible youth. Youth ages 14-21 years of age living in our service area. Youth are placed within tribal programs and Non-Profit Organizations during the summer months.
