Leech Lake Youth Build is a program for disadvantaged youth ages 16-24 who have not received their high school diploma or GED. The program offers training in the carpentry/construction and hospitality industry and provides classes to help each Youth Build worker achieve a GED or their high school diploma. Youth Build is a joint venture with the Leech Lake Reservation, Cass Lake/Bena School District and the Leech Lake Housing Authority. Youth Build trainees receive an hourly stipend as they pursue the completion of the completion of their high school diploma or GED and on-site training.
