The 1st Annual GIIGE NISIDOTAM INA ASEMAA 3 on 3 Basketball tournament - Sunday, March 20th
The 1st Annual GIIGE NISIDOTAM INA ASEMAA 3 on 3 Basketball tournament was held this past Sunday March 20th in Bena MN. The tournament was seperated into 2 divisions, a 14 and under, and a 15-18 year old division. Each division had 6 teams, and teams came from White Earth, Mahnomen, Nett Lake, Fon Du Lac, Bagley, Cass Lake , Sugar Point and Deer River.
The tournament was sponsored by the Tobacco Prevention Program, Leech Lake Youth Division, Sports & Recreation and Minnesota Department of Health. The results for the 14 and under division. Champions- Fon Du Lac Ogitchidaa, Runner Up-Cass Lake Panthers, 3rd Place-Nett Lake Eagles. 15-18 division Champions-Mahnomen Indians, Runner Up-Sugar Point/Fon DuLac, 3rd Place White Earth Nation.
