The Temporary Employment Program (T.E.P.) provides temporary employment positions that may lead to full-time employment. For many workers new in the workforce, the T.E.P. will give them the alternative opportunity not only to develop a positive work history but to explore the different working environments and opportunities availabe at Leech Lake.

Eligibility Requirements
- Leech Lake Band Member
- 18 Years of age or older
- Unemployed
- Must be willing to do all assisned work
Documents Requested
- Valid MN Drivers Liscense
- Valid Leech Lake Tribal ID
- Valid Picture ID
- Social Security Card
Intake Procedure
- Fill out the application and submit for approval by the Division Director
- Applications are then sent to LL-Human Resources for processing
- LL-Accounting/Payroll will then finalize the process and notify T.E.P. that the employee is updated and on the payroll list
- Approved employees will then be placed in a data base for future readiness to work
- Employees will report to the T.E.P. office or job site by 7:45 a.m
- If an employee signs in for work and there are no slots available at that time the employee will be given priority for the following work day
Pay Disbursements
- Employees are paid on a daily basis
- Current pay is $9.00 per hour worked
- T.E.P. employees may not work more then 31 hours per work week, limited to 62 hours per month
- Timecards must be handed in to the Payroll Clerk before 12:00 p.m. to be paid that day
- Pay is distributed at one of the three (3) casino’s: Palace Casino, Northern Lights Casino, & White Oak Casino form 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m
- T.E.P. employees must present a valid identification to the cashier to receive pay
