All food vendors must have quality operating equipment and food safety standards.

Food Handling Guidelines

  1. All food stands must have a canopy or other overhead protection.
  2. All food stands must have a floor (composed of concrete, asphalt, vinyl or sealed wood). Gravel and/or dirt must be covered.
  3. Proper cooking equipment.
  4. Storage (dry and cold) Proper refrigeration and cooling containers.
  5. Tent structures must be enclosed on three sides.
  6. Water hoses and water storage containers must be food grade plastic.
  7. Deep fat fryers, grill, and griddles must be in a separate area for safety.
  8. Bucket with sanitizing solution for cleaning.
  9. Cloths and/or sponges must be stored in bucket of sanitizer.
  10. You must have a drain board or counter space, along with the washing operation and air drying.
  11. Extra sinks are required for proper food handling for the washing of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  12. Good Personal Hygiene - hair pulled back /clean clothes.
  13. A Hand washing station must be in a conveniently located. Poor personal hygiene is one of the most common ways that food-borne illnesses spread.
    1. Station consists of running water (cooler or beverage jug with a stop nozzle &catch basin)
    2. Soap ,and single-use towels
  14. Keep your area clean; respect Mother Earth (have own garbage containers).
  15. Live animals are not allowed in the operation of a food service facility.

Vendor Rules

  • Only Authentic Native Arts and Crafts sold.
  • Absolutely no Carnival novelties, real or toy weapons and fireworks
  • Vendor are subject to inspection
  • Vendors must keep area clean and throw away waste and recyclables in designated area
  • Please come prepared with all the necessary gear or equipment. Own tables, chairs, canopy, tarps, rope, tape, etc. There are a limited number of spots and electricity
  • No food items will be allowed to be sold at a craft vendor’s table; you will have to pay also as food vendor and follow its guidelines.
  • Each space rented is for one vendor/family only (No sharing of vendor space).Must pay if you have both.
  • Each vendor is responsible for the behavior of his/her own children
  • This is a spiritual event, lets all be responsible and respectful of one another
  • Pow Wow organizers and The Tribal Council will not be responsible for any accidents, injury, theft, or damage to equipment.
  • The Pow Wow committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.
  • You must register and set up by 5:00 p.m. on Friday first day of pow wow .Fees will not be refunded.

Vendor Set-up Rules

  • Vendors must provide their name, address, phone number and email address.
  • Vendor will be given a number upon arrival to correspond to your vendor space.
  • All food vendors will be located in the same general area.
  • Gate will open 10:00am Thursday prior to the Pow Wow.
  • All vendors must be fully set up by 5:00 p.m. on first day of Pow Wow
  • No vendors will be allowed to enter grounds after 5:00p.m. on first day of Pow Wow
  • Must provide merchandise/ food menu description

Vendor Fees

The LLBO Pow Wow Committee reserves the right to refuse vendors (food & craft/art) that have already been confirmed. Individual Pow Wow Committees will set their own rates, you will be notified of current rate upon approval of your application.
