Ojibwe Achievement Center

The Cass Lake ENP also houses the Ojibwe Achievement Center. The OAC provides free computer access and computer lessons to elders.

 

 

Title III. Congregate Meals

Meal provision to an elderly client or other eligible participant at a nutrition site, senior center or some other congregate setting.

Eligibility Requriements

Persons who are 60 years of age or older and spouse, regardless of age and other eligible individuals.

Title III. Home Delivered Meals

Meal provision to an elder or other eligible participant at the client’s place of residence.

Eligibility Requriements

Home delivered meal recipients must be 60 years of age or older, home bound by reason of illness, disability or functional need, and unable to prepare their own meals. Meals may be made available to individuals with disabilities who reside in a non-institutional household with and are accompanied by an individual eligible for congregate meals.

Titele VI. Congregate and Home Delivered Meals

Eligibility will include enrolled members of any recognized tribe aged 55 years or over within the program service area. Eligibility will include spouse, handicapped or disabled individual in the same household of the eligible participant who accompany participant to a congregate site.

Title VI. Caregiver Program

To develop and implement family caregiver support programs for the benefit of the non-paid family member caring for their elders and grandparents caring for their grandchildren.

Eligibility Requriements

Eligibility for family caregiver support services will be directed toward informal, unpaid family caregivers of adult’s age 55 years and over. Grandparents and relative caregivers, age 55 and older, who are the primary caregivers of a child not more than 18 years old because the biological or adoptive parents are unable or unwilling to serve as the primary caregiver of the child. They must be related to the child by blood, marriage, or adoption and live with the child.
