WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding education and support, health and other referrals for pregnant and postpartum women, women who have had a baby within the past six months and women who have been pregnant within the past six months.
WIC provides vouchers for food to help reduce low birth weight babies, infant mortality and poor growth.

Eligibility Requirements
Based on income (185% of federal poverty guidelines) for pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants from birth to 1 year of age, children from 1 year of age to their 5th birthday. Receiving MA, MFIP, Food Stamps, Fuel Assistance.
A person denied services has the right to request a fair hearing to have the decision reviewed. A fair hearing in writing or verbally may be requested by contacting the WIC Program office in St. Paul. WIC Program, P.O. Box 64882, St. Paul, Minnesota 55164. (800) 657-3942 Toll-free.
