  • Applications are accepted only for positions posted and assigned a job code, check the summary for positions that you have the education and experience requirements for.
  • You must fill out a separate application for every position you are applying for. Each position has different requirements, so you will want to answers the questions differently on each application.
  • Answer all questions completely, providing details outlining your skills and trainings and the machines and equipment you can operate to perform the job.
  • When documenting your education, be sure to write the city and state that your school/schools were located.
  • When documenting your work history, be sure to include previous employment that utilized the skills for the position for which you are applying.
  • You will need to provide a copy of your Driver’s License if the position requires a Driver’s License.
  • Reasons that cause ineligibility; Unsigned applications, employee within the 90 day introductory period, employee with disciplinary infractions, terminated from employment with the LLBO within the last 6 months, application was received after the closing date, Incomplete or missing documentation (Motor Vehicle Report/ Request for Check of Driving Record, BCA Background Release form, transcripts, No copy of Driver’s License, etc.).
  • If you are an enrolled member of a federally recognized Tribe, be sure to include your enrollment number/enrollment information, so you can receive credit for Native American preference.
  • Hand delivering the application is always a good idea. You will be able to talk to someone to ensure you have included all necessary documentation with the application.
  • When faxing an application to the HR fax number, 218-335-3697, it is a good idea to call 218- 335-3698 to verify that your application was received.

Other things to consider:

  • It is always a good idea to attach a resume and cover letter to your application.
