Summary: Responsible for organizing, directing and coordinating the processing of judicial cases through the system. Perform general office management duties and day-to-day support for Tribal Court Judges. Assist with and supervise routine court clerical work. Responsible for the management of court technology equipment, recording/archiving of audio transcripts of all court hearings, and assist other court staff with processing and maintaining of all legal pleadings filed with the Leech Lake Tribal Court and Leech Lake Court of Appeals. Responsible for supervising and training court clerks.

Good understanding and knowledge of Tribal codes, ordinances and statutes, federal Indian laws and applicable laws from other jurisdictions, court policies and procedures for case processing, and of court terminology. Excellent written and oral communication skills, spelling and proof reading skills, proficiency in document preparation, excellent personal computer skills and customer service skills.

Summary: Police Officers protect life and property, preserve the peace, prevent offenses, detect and apprehend offenders and help those in need of assistance.
Qualifications: No previous Law Enforcement experience required. Must have successfully completed; Basic Police Training and/or program provided by a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. POST Board certified or eligible to be POST certified. First-aid and CPR training. Valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.

Summary: Responsible for the overall management and administration of the Leech Lake Domestic Abuse Re-Education (DAR) Program, with the goal to address and reduce domestic violence and ensure the safety of domestic violence victims on the Leech Lake Reservation. Provides facilitation of Men’s DAR classes, supervision of DAR class facilitators, and service coordination with tribal, state, county and federal agencies involved in domestic violence programming.
Qualifications: BA/BS in Behavioral Health or related field (Psychology, Chemical Dependency, etc.) with 2000 hours of supervised experience. Masters Degree in the Behavioral Health field, preferred. Certified Domestic Batterer Intervention Program facilitator.
Skills: Demonstrated experience working with domestic abuse offenders. Familiarity with domestic violence programs and issues. Familiarity with the Coordinated Community Response model of domestic violence intervention.

Summary: Shall provide day-to-day direction, operation, management, control and supervision of the Tax, Risk and Insurance Program. The TRI Manager shall administer and enforce the tax revenue laws of the Band and ensure that the Band’s tax matters are addressed. Plans, directs and coordinates risk and any non-human resources insurance programs of organization to control risks and losses.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; Licensed Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Five years experience directing, implementing and/or enforcing tribal, municipal, state or federal taxation programs. Five years experience preferred supervisory management experience and conducting tax audits. Experience developing and implementing clear comprehensive financial reports and financial tax- related and insurance databases.
Skills: Must possess excellent customer service skills with the general public, including maintaining tact, diplomacy and flexibility when dealing with different personalities. Computer literacy including extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and database software such as Microsoft Access. Possess strong work ethic and organizational skills with special attention to detail.
