Bena Homeless Shelter Manager ~ Human Services ~ DOQ ~ Job Code:  15-027
    VALID CLASS D DRIVER’S LICENSE, SIGNED MVR FORM AND BCA RELEASE REQUIRED
Summary: The Program Manager oversees all day-to-day administration and management of operations, as well as the long range strategy and program development for sustainability of the program. The Program Manager is responsible for fundraising activities and overseeing staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Services field preferred, or equivalent leadership experience directly related to supervisory tasks in a group/residential setting. Must have a Food Safe Certificate and current CPR and First Aid for adult, child and infant within three months of employment. Summary: The Strategic Planning Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, promoting and ensuring community planning and development and negotiating and monitoring community empowerment and transfer initiatives in order to secure and monitor opportunities for community development. This person will also facilitate community events, prepare public information needs and work to motivate participation from the community in evaluating services and planning for program development as well as securing funding for development activities and programs.

Part-Time Auto Mechanic/Tow Truck Operator ~ Department of Public Works ~ DOQ ~ Job Code:  15-009B

Summary: Under the supervision, perform skilled mechanical work in diagnostic, maintenance and repair of Fleet Management vehicles. Tow program and constituent vehicles and plow snow, when in excess of three inches. 
Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) or ability to obtain. Three years of experience as a professional mechanic is required. Experience in snow plowing and operating a tow truck is required. ASE Certification or ability to obtain is preferred. Must have a valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable. Skills: Diagnose problems and determine the extent of repairs or adjustments as needed. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which can include working various days, hours, and shifts.

Summary: To assist the Leech Lake Reservation as a trained Engine Boss and be on standby for expected dispatch on or near the reservation or as needed nationwide.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education (G.E.D.). Current Red Card rating of  Firefighter Type 1 (FF1) or Engine Boss (ENGB). Experience as an Engine Boss/Squad Boss preferred. Red Card Certification. Must have a valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.
Skills: Supervising and/or leading crews on the fire line, fire suppression and prevention. Attend and complete Introductory Fire Course offered through Leech Lake DRM or other agencies. Domestic Abuse Re-Education (DAR) Program Coordinator ~ Human Services ~ DOQ ~ Job Code: 14-208

Summary: Responsible for the overall management and administration of the Leech Lake Domestic Abuse Re-Education (DAR) Program, with the goal to address and reduce domestic violence and ensure the safety of domestic violence victims on the Leech Lake Reservation. Provides facilitation of Men’s DAR classes, supervision of DAR class facilitators, and service coordination with tribal, state, county and federal agencies involved in domestic violence programming.
Qualifications: BA/BS in Behavioral Health or related field (Psychology, Chemical Dependency, etc.) with 2000 hours of supervised experience. Masters Degree in the Behavioral Health field, preferred. Certified Domestic Batterer Intervention Program facilitator.
Skills: Demonstrated experience working with domestic abuse offenders. Familiarity with domestic violence programs and issues. Familiarity with the Coordinated Community Response model of domestic violence intervention.

Skills: Assist is supporting individual students or small groups of students with special needs, in Head Start/Early head Start classrooms. Plan appropriate activities based on each individual child’s needs. Must be physically able to work with children ages 0-5 years old.
