Payroll Clerk I ~ Finance ~ $12.50 ~ Job Code: 12-073
BCA RELEASE REQUIRED
Summary: The payroll clerk is engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining records control, calculating payroll and compiling of payroll reports. Keeps the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe up-to-date and in compliance with applicable payroll laws and regulations. Explains and interprets payroll policies and procedures pertinent to the directors, supervisors and employees by answering inquiries and facilitating proper application of these directives and processes. Primary: Responsible for calculating and maintaining the annual payroll of $21 million for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Processes 26 payrolls per year. Prints an average of 1600 W-2s and file them in a timely manner. Clientele: One part-time payroll clerk, Daily interaction with approximately 25 accounting staff, Contact with approximately 30 outside vendors and agencies. Valid MN driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable is preferred.
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other applicable federal payroll laws. Ability to read and interpret statutes, general business periodicals, technical procedures and government regulations pertaining to payroll, retirement, and IRS taxation laws and data privacy acts.

Summary:This position is responsible for providing direct mental health services to individuals, families and groups using psychotherapy, other treatment modalities and skills to produce social, psychological and emotional well-being. Valid MN Driver’s License and current insurance or be insurable.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Masters in the Behavioral Health field. Must be licensed as a; Mental Health Professional or licensable in the State of Minnesota. Four years of clinical experience with multiple issues and diverse age groups.
Skills: Provides comprehensive psychosocial assessment and designs individual treatment plans. Incumbent is required on a daily basis to interact positively with patients, families, hospital medical staff and their employees, Tribal employees and other departmental staff.

Qualifications: BS/BA/AA Degree in Social Work, CADC or LADC/related field and two year’s training in chemical dependency counseling. An equivalent combination of education and practical experience would be considered. If chemically dependent, must document 1 year of chemical free sobriety.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, from a four year accredited college or university. Three to four years experience in business management or business development, with a preference for business accounting and marketing.
Skills: Assist Band member entrepreneurs with development of short and long-term plans, strategies and budgets for their business. Monitor any major concerns, barriers, restrictions and issues on the federal, state and local level, which may impede the development of Band member entrepreneurs.

Summary: Responsible for technical support for users of the IBM AS400 in the Accounting Department. Additional responsibilities are for maintaining the AS400, the New World Systems Financial Software and installing up-dates. Must also have a basic knowledge of computer networking and Microsoft Windows environments. Must have ability to make your own Cat5/6 RJ-45 patch cables and determine how best to pull new cable runs.
