Summary: Tribal Police Officers protect life and property, preserve the peace, prevent offenses, detect and apprehend offenders and help those in need of assistance.
Qualifications: No previous Law Enforcement experience required. Must have successfully completed Basic Police Training Program and/or program provided by Federal Law Enforcement Center. POST Board certification or eligible to be POST Board certified. First-Aid training and CPR training. Valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.

Summary: A Licensed/Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor provide professional therapeutic intervention services for individuals that are misusing and/or addicted to alcohol and/or drugs. The counselor must be familiar with Rule 25 Assessment instruments, as well as Rule 31, Minnesota Statute 9430 and six dimensions of treatment planning. Responsible for screening, education and providing preventions skills training in group or individual setting.
Qualifications: CADC I, II or III or LADC Qualifications. As least two years of chemical rehabilitation experience with the twelve core functions of counseling. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. Valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.

Summary: Provide advanced EMS training for the staff to maintain through on-going continuing education and assure that all staff maintains the training level of the Ambulance Service level of care as well as the training, mentoring and evaluation of new EMS staff. Must complete within 3 months of hire all advanced life support variances that are part of the ambulance service protocol. Tribal Historic Preservation Officer ~ Division of Resource Management ~ DOQ ~ Job Code: 14-178

Summary: The main duties of the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer is to reflect the interests of the Leech Lake Anishinaabe people and to explain the Tribal Councils commitment in preservation, the protection of burials and repatriation matters, and to represent the Band with federal agencies.
Qualifications: Post-Secondary education, with a minimum of two years in the field of Biology or Environmental Sciences; or combined education/experience in the field of Historic Preservation. Valid MN Driver’s License, current insurance or be insurable.
Skills: Assist federal agencies in the Section 106 process as outlined in the National Historic Preservation Act. Familiar with federal grant applications and budgeting. Must possess the ability to understand the historic preservation laws as they apply to the Leech Lake Band of Minnesota, specifically the National Historic Preservation Act.
